Sabine assisted us in the process of developing initial thoughts towards the final design of our kitchen, including many detailed suggestions for appliances, tapware and lighting, in our house in The Netherlands. The long distance communication never posed a problem thanks to e-mail, Skype and 3D visualisations on pdf, and of course Sabine’s flexibility and responsiveness. I met Sabine in 1990 in Munich when she worked as editor for the book Prestel Verlag was producing to accompany an important design exhibition I was working on as curator. The following decade we worked on other design and architecture publications from Prestel. Her life brought her to Australia and her successful study and career in Interior Design I was able to follow with interest although from far. Through all these years I have admired her as a versatile and dedicated professional with an unusual high sense for quality. She radiates personality, is great company and a treat to work with and although she lives 'down under' I wait to see the day we can work again on a project.
