Berlin Loft Apartment

A NEW FEELING OF SPACE

Situated in the side wing of a typical 1910 Berlin apartment building, this high-ceilinged space underwent a full renovation. The original suite of small rooms has been smartly converted into an open plan loft filled with light.

The main room features a spacious living and dining area and a well-appointed open kitchen placed on a raised platform. Its aluminium floor, stainless steel appliances, and concrete-look benchtop create the industrial feel that continues with the industrial parquet floor in the living room. Furnishings combine design classics, high-end furniture and a treasure trove of flee market finds. The large abstract by Thai artist Somboon dominates the space, and its patch of yellow is revisited in small accents throughout the space.

Clean lines also shape the bedroom and the bathroom, where the palette of whites and greys creates a simple elegance.
