Situated in the side wing of a typical 1910 Berlin apartment building, this high-ceilinged space underwent a full renovation. The small rooms usually seen in this style of building have been smartly converted into an open plan loft. The sense of light and space provides a contrast to expectations on entering the block. The main room features a spacious living and dining area and a well-appointed open kitchen placed on a raised platform. Its aluminium floor, stainless steel appliances, and concrete-look benchtop create the industrial feel that continues with the industrial parquet floor in the living room. Furnishings combine design classics, high-end furniture and a treasure trove of flee market finds. The large abstract by Thai artist Somboon dominates the space, and its patch of yellow is re-created in small accents throughout the space in cushions, one of the coffee tables, and the light fitting above the kitchen island.
Clean lines shape the bedroom and the bathroom, where the palette of whites and greys creates a simple elegance.Design Theme: "Berliner Luft" Loft
